Usage Scope
1. Used for the fixation of fractures, dislocated joints, soft tissue damage to ligaments and tendon damage.
2. Used for the fixation of joint ligaments and other soft tissue, nerves, tendon injury after surgery.
3. Used for the fixation of bone joint, myelitis, purulent arthritis, primary bone tumor metastasis and other conservative treatment period or lesions removal after surgery .
4. Used for the fixation of bone and joint malformation, nerve paralysis, cerebral palsy, pediatric scoliosis orthopaedic brace.
5. Used for the fixation of post surgery of burns, scald, etc.
6. Used for the fixation of rehabilitation support, orthosis.
Instructions for use
1. Prepare the materials and tools, set the waterbath to 65-70°.
2. Choose the right pre-cut, or cropped the thermoplastic sheet to the right shape.
3. Put the splint sheet into the 65-70° hot water for 2-3 minutes, it could become soft. Remove it to the worktable, make it dry.
4. Place the splint sheet to the user's body part, mould it to the right shape accordingly. Turn outwards the hard edges, thus to prevent hurtings. Adjust the splint to the right angle.
5. Two pieces of sheets could be worked together for a tubular splint.
6.With a good memory, it could be remoulded many times. It is especially used for the immobiflization of post surgery. After the edema disappears, it needs to be re-shaped.
7. Remove the splint from body parts, adjust the splint in an appropriate condition, decorate the edgings with trims. (The bone protrusions and joints can be cushioned at the pressure of the lining to avoid crushing)
8.Velcro & Elastic bandages could be used to attach the splint to the body part.
Note:
1. Mould the splint with palm and thenar, avoid a large extent of pull during molding process. Ask the user to maintain the same position until the splint become stiff. The edge of the splint should be rolled out into smooth edges, so as not to stab the patient.
2. The splint can be cleaned with a neutral soapy cold water.
3. Keep the splint away from heat sources. I.g.: open flames or microwave ovens, etc.;
4. It is not allowed to be heated with heating gun when it is worn on the user's body part.
5. Repeat use is not be suggested.
Storage: Prevent direct sunlight, away from heat sources, and avoid contact with acid-base, oil and corrosive gases.
Shelf life: 3 years
Post-use treatment: According to the regular method of hospital conventional medical equipment supplies.
